You may have clicked here to wonder about what Hashimoto's is. It is a hypothyroidism condition where the thyroid produces lower amounts of hormones followed by white blood cells attacking the healthy tissues within the thyroids (the gland in the neck region that controls growth, metabolism, and mood alongside the pituitary gland). This is categorized as an auto-immune condition that can be through genetics and other factors as well -- including any medications for other conditions. Hashimoto's is actually more common in women than men where a lot of hormonal factors influence it.

I was diagnosed with this as of late-2022 and early-2023 when there has been some abnormality going on with my body regarding cycles. I've went through a series of tests followed by physicals to determine what was going on with my body. When doctors noticed my hormone levels from my thyroids, they referred me to an endocrinologist and that was when I found out i have the condition. At first, i had no idea on how serious it is nor how to manage it until i went through research.
After doing research and making notes on it, I have been able to take care of myself with my own set of self-care routines and letting people become aware of Hashimoto's. this even adds onto better dieting while avoiding/limiting diary products, soy products, and alcohol.
